Spouse Visa Cost
Enter the fees you have been quoted and the number of dependants. The calculator separates the main applicant from the dependants so the family total is visible.
Visa fees are set by the destination immigration authority and change without much notice. Confirm the current fee, the exchange rate and what each fee covers before paying.
The fee is not the whole cost
Medical exams, police certificates, translations and travel to an appointment are part of the project even when they are not part of the application fee. Legal help is optional but can be expensive at an hourly rate.
Dependants usually add an application fee and repeat several evidence steps. The calculator applies the same medical, biometrics, police and translation costs to each dependant; adjust the inputs if a dependant is exempt.
Pay in the right order
Some costs are incurred before the application and some after. Medical and police certificates may have validity windows, so paying too early can mean paying twice.
Keep a single ledger of fees, dates and receipts. If the application is refused, a second attempt usually repeats most of the fees.
Frequently asked questions
Should legal help be included?
Include it if you expect to use it. A straightforward route may not need it; a refusal, an appeal or a complex history usually does.
Do children pay the same fees?
Often a lower application fee but the same medical and biometric steps. Check the schedule for each dependant.
Are fees refundable?
Usually not, or only in limited circumstances. Confirm the refund policy before paying.
